Visit at the cellar
Cultural tasting
The visit begins with a pleasant walk through the vineyards. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the history of the Ciavolich family, originally from Bulgaria, who settled in Abruzzo in the 1500s and initiated wine production in Miglianico in 1853 at our oldest winery, which still remains accessible for visits.
Subsequently, guests will learn about our historical connection to Loreto Aprutino, established through a marriage at the turn of the century. They will also be informed about our development in the past forty years and how the winery began producing terroir wines exclusively from the vineyards and rows surrounding the farmhouse.
The tour will proceed to the cellar, where steel, wood, concrete, and terracotta barrels are housed. It will conclude with a tasting of four selected labels paired with Niko Romito’s and Bread Market’s traditional breads, complemented by our own olive oil produced from the monocultivar Dritta. Additionally, local dairy products paired with our refined Montepulciano jam will be offered.

Consciousness of a place
Loreto Aprutino
For lovers of places and wines of the soul
To truly appreciate a wine with character, we must begin with its place of origin, as identity cannot exist without it. A wine with soul conveys, with emotion, the stories of its land and its people in a continuous pursuit of stylistic harmony.
By selecting this enological experience, you will have the opportunity to thoroughly explore the territory of Loreto Aprutino and uncover its origins, including the influence of the Gran Sasso massif, sunlight, soil composition, and sea breezes on our grapes. You will gain insight into the seven wine districts of Loreto Aprutino, as outlined in Custodes Laureti’s comprehensive 2024 study, which established a primary zoning classification for Loreto’s wine region.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enjoy our olive oil beneath the olive trees and conclude your visit with a tour of our cellar, where steel, wood, concrete, and terracotta barrels are stored. The experience will culminate with a tasting under the pergola, featuring four Fosso Cancelli labels, wines that are a vivid reflect of time and spirit.
